The 2025 to 2026 Port Stephens Community Funding Program is now open, with over $450,000 in grants and scholarships available to support local initiatives across the region, including Karuah.
The Community Funding Program has supported several past projects in Karuah that delivered key actions from the Karuah Place Plan, including:
Mainstreet Beautification – Stage 1 (2022) and Stage 2 (2023)
Karuah Bridge Mural Project (2022)
Restoration of the Karuah Riverbank (2022)
Garuwa Community Market Project (2022)
If you’re part of a community group, sporting club, school, business or are an individual with a great idea, there’s funding available to help bring your ideas to life and enhance the Karuah area.
