The park, formed from ancient volcanic flows, rises from near sea level to over 1500 meters, protecting one of the largest temperate rainforests in mainland Australia. It hosts a diverse range of habitats and a wide variety of birds and animals.

Barrington Tops is a bushwalker’s paradise, featuring an extensive network of walking tracks, from short, easy walks to challenging overnight hikes with ample bush camping sites.
